Sayang Beach Resort is one of those laidback Lanta resorts with a bit of character. Run by an island family, there's a typical hodge-podge of accommodation that shows the evolution of the place and, while rooms remain fairly basic (despite the recent renovation), there are lots of nice home made decorative ideas that make them cosy and memorable.

Bathrooms, for example, are semi open-air, allowing them to be filled with plants. Tropical leaves have been used to make imprints on the bare concrete walls, and beds are four poster with cushions made from local batik print sarongs.

Sayang Beach is a medium size resort (30 rooms), with bungalows stretching back from a wide open beach front lined with lofty casuarina trees, that provide shade and seating next to the sand of Long Beach. There is no swimming pool.

The resort restaurant serves Thai, Indian and western food; there is also a beach bar open late. Other services include Thai massage, tour agency, motorbike and jeep rental, laundry, overseas call and internet cafe.

Reservation Policy
Prices are given in Thai baht and are per room per night, based on 2 people sharing (or 3 people sharing in Fan garden view and air con villa). Prices include breakfast for 2 (or 3) people, service charge and VAT. Double rooms (for 2 people) can sleep one extra person, paying for an extra bed. Infants up to 3 years of age stay free, with baby cot provided. Children 3-12 years old sharing room with parents with no extra bed will be charged for breakfast at 150 baht / day. Children 3-12 years old requiring an extra bed may pay 50% of the rates above. Children over 12 sharing the room must pay full extra bed price.

Compulsory Gala Dinners:
All guests in-house on 24 December 2007 will be charged 1300 baht / adult and 700 baht /child under 12 years. On 31 December 2007 guests will be charged 1800 baht / adult and 1000 baht /child under 12 years.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations will be subject to a 10% charge. In addition, any confirmed booking cancelled less 14 days prior to arrival will be charged a further one night's stay, or two nights' stay for bookings during November to April. No-shows will not be refunded.
