Mook Lanta is one of the new crop of design-conscious resorts opened in Koh Lanta by northern Thais. It mixes rustic chic with a splash of high tech (wi-fi is available in all rooms) so that city dwellers can get their email fix in better surroundings than the usual plastic chair and table set-up.

The rooms themselves are arranged in a square around the brand new swimming pool (2008). Please note that Long Beach itself is approximately 100m walk away, down the hillside - quite far by Koh Lanta standards!

All the rooms are fairly similar in design. The Deluxe pool view villas have a partial sea view but othewise are identical to the garden view villas. They are perhaps worth the extra charge for the sunset views from the balcony. Inside, the villas have polished concrete floors and bare brick walls painted in vivid hues. Antique wood furniture has been carefully selected. The bathroom is an indoor-outdoor affair, with no roof over the shower area.

All rooms (excepting Garden View fan) are air-conditioned and offer hot water shower, cable TV and minibar. Garden View fan has cable TV and hot shower only (no fridge). The 2 Family rooms are simply 2 inter-connecting Deluxe Villas that can be shared by families or groups of friends.

Resort facilities include a cosy restaurant and bar, the usual tour and laundry services, as well as a Thai massage area.

Reservation Policy
Prices are given in Thai baht and are per room per night, based on 2 people sharing. Rates are inclusive of breakfast, hotel service charge and government tax. Child under 12 years sharing with parents (with no extra bed) will be charged at 150 baht for breakfast (max. 2 children per room). Children over 12 years or third adult in any room will be charged an extra bed price (maximum of 1 extra bed per room / 2 in the Family room). Minimum 5 nights stay during 21 Dec - 10 Jan required. Complimentary welcome drink on arrival.
Compulsory gala dinner: Christmas Eve (24 Dec) and New Year’s Eve (31 Dec) 1500 / 800 per adult / child under 12 years

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations will be subject to a 10% charge. There will be a further charge for cancellations received less than 30 days prior to arrival, “no show” and early check out:
- 1 May – 31 Oct – one night's stay
- 1 Nov – 15 Dec & 16 Feb – 30 Apr – 2 nights' stay
- 16 Dec – 15 Feb – 100% of total value of booking (no refund)
