Lanta Thanya Resort comprises of a group of spacious double bed villas and deluxe rooms set on a small private beach with light, airy and delightful views. [Lanta-Islands comment: note that no beach in Thailand is private: this simply means that there is no other hotel located along the same stretch of beach, so the likelihood of encountering non-hotel guests is minimal]

The resort comprises of 8 villas and 6 rooms which are surrounded with nice gardens, the river view, rainforest mountains and Andaman Sea. Take a pleasure in either sun bathing, sitting on big rocks to watch the sparkling turquoise Andaman Sea and the most beautiful sunset from our beachfront or simply enjoy a cool sea breeze from your balcony.

Superior Sea View: Villas are located just 200 meters away from the beach. Enjoy the stroll that leads to the beach with the river view on the sidewalk and rainforest mountain view as the backdrop.
Tropical Sea View: Well decorated corner room that guests can enjoy the lovely garden view and only a few steps away from the beach.
Tropical Verandah: Colorful painted rooms that blend with the tropical garden just outside the rooms corridor. You can enjoy sounds of birds chirping and relax from this serenity of the natural surroundings.
All room types feature with standard facilities: Bathroom with cold/hot shower and amenities; Cable TV with remote control; Individually controlled air condition; Refrigerator; Tea / Coffee making facilities; Slippers.
The Thanya Resort Restaurant & Bar is situated right on the beach with magnificent view. Our restaurant opens daily from 6.00 am. to 10.00 pm. and serves mainly delicious Thai dishes and variety of selective popular dishes of European cuisine. We also offer a variety of imported wines, cocktails, as well as popular local drinks. Simply the coolest place to wine and dine on Koh Lanta.
Our comment: this stylish resort is located across the small river from Moonlight Bay Resort. It is owned by Thanyarat Santichatsak, a Thai restaurateur with a successful chain of restaurants in London, so you can expect the in-house food to be excellent! It is very small, private and secluded so would be good for couples seeking a beach front hideaway, but still having access to the rest of the island and the full service of excursions etc. The beach in front of the resort is fairly narrow and rocky so would not suit those looking for a wide, sandy location. The small grounds means there is no swimming pool, either. The nearest shops and restaurants are a 5 - 10 minute walk away, on Klong Nin beach.
