Like most of the resorts on this stretch of Klong Nin, Lanta Nature Beach Resort is split across the main road that runs behind the beach. Some bungalows and the restaurant and reception area are on the beachfront near the sand, while others are across the road to the back, around 150 - 250m away. It is a very local place, run by native islanders, so expect no frills but plenty of charm. Indeed many of the guests we met there seemed to be regulars, who recommended the place and the friendly, personal service.

There are 31 rooms in total, all decorated in a fairly garish palette (greens, reds, blues, pinks and orange wood veneer panelling), but they are reasonably clean and well-maintained. Most of the rooms are bungalows, though there are some in a 2 floor block, and others - called Seaview rooms - located on the second floor above the reception area. The difference between beachfront and standard bungalows is in the location; and deluxe rooms are larger and newer. Family rooms are the largest of all, with 2 double beds and a bathtub in the bathroom - these can also be connecting for a large group. All rooms have air conditioning, hot water shower and a TV, though only the deluxe rooms have a fridge.

The resort is located down towards the southern end of Klong Nin. There are several other resorts and bars in the immediate area, which gives plenty of choice for food and drink, though the Thai food we tried in the resort restaurant was actually quite nice. The beach bar serves cocktails and lays on fireshows in the evenings.

The beach itself is sloping, with a high ridge of sand in the middle and a few rocks. The resort does not have a swimming pool.

Resort facilities include the restaurant and beach bar, Thai massage service, beach volleyball, tour agency, motorbike and jeep rental, laundry service, facility for overseas calls and an internet cafe. There are also DvD players and films for rent.

Reservation Policy
Prices are given in Thai baht and are per room per night and include all applicable taxes. Prices are for room only, no breakfast. Rooms suitable for 2 – 3 people only, except Deluxe and Family rooms which are suitable for 3-4 persons. All rooms are air conditioned.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations will be subject to a 10% charge. Cancellations made less than 14 days before arrival in peak season and less than 7 days before arrival in high season will be subject to a further charge, at the discretion of the hotel.
