A new boutique style resort, opened in 2006, Baan Laanta is at the northern end of Kantiang Bay, where the hill starts sloping upwards. The rooms are arranged over the hillside and some steps are fairly steep, making this resort suitable only for those who don't mind the climb.

The 15 villas are nicely designed in wood and other natural materials. Floors are terracotta, with a raised wooden platform for the bed (a mattress on the floor). Soft furnishings are simple and white, or in traditional Thai fabric and a mosquito net is hung over the bed (all villas have double bed only). Lighting is soft and sympathetic.

There are large windows facing on to the balcony, which overlooks either the average-sized, green-coloured swimming pool (10 Deluxe pool view villas) or the sea (5 Bay front villas). The "rustic chic" theme is continued with the dressing area and bathroom, cleverly separated from the bedroom. The bathroom is semi-open air (large vents near the roof) and lined with bamboo canes and also features a rain shower.

Rooms come with satellite TV, mini-bar / fridge, coffee & tea-making facilities, hairdryer, slippers, bathrobe and an umbrella. Safety boxes are available at reception only.

At the beach level can be found all the resort facilities, such as restaurant and bar, massage pavilions, dive centre, tour agency, internet cafe and reception. The resort is a short walk from the village centre where can be found an ATM machine and minimart.

Reservation Policy
Prices are given in Thai baht and are per room per night and include service charge, VAT and breakfast. Children under 12 years of age sharing parents'room without extra bed will be charged for breakfast at 150 baht per day. Extra bed price includes berakfast for one person.

Compulsory Gala Dinner charges:
24 Dec & 31 Dec - 2000 baht per adult, child under 12 years half price.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations will be subject to a 10% charge. Cancellations made less than 14 days before arrival in peak season and less than 7 days before arrival in high season will be subject to a further charge of one night’s stay. Early check out will also be subject to a one night charge. No show: no refund will be given.
